Cost to change timing belt.

A local guy said he could do it for $650 bucks including new parts/labor. Is this a good price? In reference to a 92 4wd 5sp with 22RE. 170K on clock. I would seriously consider doing it myself but I have a 9mo old baby that requires most of my time. The wife is a workaholic who's usually nowhere to be found.

Depends on what parts are being replaced?

You could spend 200$ in parts or less and maybe up to 700$ in parts if you wanted to.

Just replacing the typical stuff...gear, chain, guides, and tensioner.

Sounds right to me.
