Hey,
Recently grenaded my 4.56 rear 3rd, and was having a hell of a time finding a replacement. Managed to pick up a front and rear 4.88, but no cash right now to get 33" tires. How many people have run 4.88 diffs with stock size (31") tires, and how is the experience?

if you have to do anything over 60MPH, kiss your MPGs goodbye. im kind of in the same boat as you and i am having to wait until i ware out my 31's to upgrade to 33s.

Reply 3 : Diff question
Put the 4.88s in over the weekend. Not too bad for getting around and should be great on steep trails, but highway driving seems more stressful at sky high rpm. Can't wait for some extra work over the summer and 33's.
