New here and thinking about an FJ

Hi I am new here and I am looking for a new car. I really like the FJ or the Tacoma. I was wondering what general advice you all might have. Basically I want 4x4, haul bikes, skis, hockey equip, get through snow ect. I am trying to determine if this is the right vehicle for me. I test drove an 07 today and really liked it, other than the visibility. anyway if anyone has their .02 cents I would be glad to hear it. Thanks!

You can put most of that in a trailer on the FJ (some could be crammed in the cab, and bicycles could be mounted on a tailgate rack or roof rack), or you could just throw it all in the in the truck bed.

And if the visibility gets to you now on a test drive, imagine how it might really irk you while towing a trailer, or in more varied traffic and weather conditions.

As far as the 4x4 capabilities, I don't know enough about that to tell you anything. (I do love my Previa AllTrac-- I don't go muddin' in it but it sure was nice in this winter's storms. I didn't put on winter tires or anything, I just pressed the gas and it went and went where I pointed it. I'm sure either an AWD Tacoma or FJ would be as competent in the snow and ice.)

My cousin LOVES her FJ, though.

I'd test drive it and a Tacoma again to see what vehicle really calls to you.
